No exam is common, not a special type of policy
Term, whole life, and other products may offer no-exam applications. There is no universal $100,000 cutoff. The amount available depends on the product, your age, health information, and the insurer's rules.
No exam does not mean no health review
An application may ask about diagnoses, medication, tobacco use, and family history. With authorization, an insurer may review available records. Guaranteed-issue insurance is different: eligible applicants do not go through health underwriting, but benefit limits and waiting periods may apply.
A decision is not the same as active coverage
Approval is an important step. The insurer may also require your acceptance, first premium, or other activation steps. Do not cancel existing insurance until your new coverage is confirmed in force.
